Biography

I’m not really a fan of the whole ‘look at me, see how great I am’ shouting from the rooftop essay containing every conceivable detail of how I took a shit at 2am and found musical inspiration lurking in the toilet bowl. I find those kinds of essays very fatiguing to read, especially written in the 3rd person perspective by the artist.

• 1983: Born in Southampton.
• 1987: Moved to Staines.
• 1992: Discovered electronic ‘Rave’ music (later forming my passion with Hardcore and Drum & Bass).
• 1992: (a month before my 9th Birthday) Had my first visit to a recording studio.
• 1993: Started messing around with making music (overdubbing parts live).
• 1995: Recorded my first collaborative track @ Trinity Studio.
• 1996: Recorded my first solo track @ Trinity Studio.
• 1997: Started DJ’ing as: ‘Incline’ (playing: Old Skool, Hardcore, UK Garage, D&B, Hard House & Trance).
• 1998: Played weekly 2 hour shows on various London pirate radio stations (until about 2002).
• 1999: Played at an outdoor music festival near Guildford (main stage & dedicated dance arena).
• 2000: Started working with Alpha9 Records as a solo artist & DJ.
• 2001: Held residencies at various venues in the south (from London, Bristol to Portsmouth).
• 2001: Had a weekly radio show on Internet radio (London Live & Direct).
• 2002: Begun Attending ACM (The Academy Of Contemporary Music), Guildford.
• 2002: Moved To Sunbury Cross.
• 2002: Worked at ‘White Gates Studio’ as Producer/Engineer (Recording Bands).
• 2002: Performed at The Millennium Dome (now called the 02 Arena).
• 2004: Played Arena 3 at ‘Hardcore Heaven: The Finale’, The Sanctuary, 05:00-06:00.
• 2005: Moved to Singleton (Kent) and stopped pursuing music.
• 2005: Moved to Aberdeen (Scotland).
• 2007: Started the music again using the name: ‘Distorted Science’ (playing: European Hardcore/Gabber).
• 2008: Worked at ‘Foyer Music’ as Producer/Engineer (Recording Bands) until it closed.
• 2008: Started the first dedicated European Hardcore/Gabber podcast on iTunes.
• 2009: Started regularly Mastering tracks for various other artists & labels.
• 2013: Started co-managing Alpha9 Records.
• 2013: Became resident Sound Engineer for Chaplins Nightclub and rebuilt the sound system.
• 2013: Started engineering at The Tunnels, Aberdeen.
• 2013: Recorded/Engineered/Mastered guest mixes for DJ’s appearing on Mearns FM.
• 2013: Engineered tracks for acts appearing on the TV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
• 2014: Started Sound Engineering at Drummonds, Aberdeen.
